This was last week around 7pm on Lake Lewisville SE by the dam... I google image searched, still can't tell. I haven't found them in the 2 months I've been on the lake, and this was on my way home.

Thoughts?

I am not a crappie expert but decent at sonar and familiar with Lake Lewisville.

Basing it off the screenshot, the lake and location, I would imagine those are sandbass.

I'm sure someone else who is more experienced with crappie may have a different opinion.

Drop a jig and see. It only takes a few minutes.

Ok, thanks guys. I've fished the banks and fishing barge for 20-30 years, and finally have the chance to move around on the water. I've tried under bridges, nothing over 10".

The hunt continues. smile

That cut usually has lots of sand bass in it. Bait too!
