Fished with buddies Ed and Larry today from 8:30 AM to 2:15 PM and caught 153: 125 whites, 25 keeper yellow bass and 3 short hybrids. It was very windy out of the south, so that limited where we could fish. Started at Finger Point in 10 fow, Figure 8 in 9 fow, Frank's Hump in 10 to 14 fow and the next point SE from Frank's in 14 fow. Ed kept an ice chest full of 13 inch and bigger whites. Catch and release on the rest. Most were caught on a #4 silver Mepps spinner, several more on a #2 Mepps, and a few on slabs and tail spinners. We started at Finger Point where we found some surface schooling fish. We located them with sonar and side-scan on the other structures. Most fish were caught working the Mepps along the bottom. Here are some pics of trip:

Nice! Did Larry catch any cuz he looks bored? nuts
Heard DC got moves like Jagger and Elvis now with the new hips bannana2

My last 5 trips to twok, giant twok magnums were easy catch all you want at community holes. But legal hypers are way too illusive for me on artificials. Finally my last trip 10 days ago thank God Gene put me on a 7 lb football hibbie that fought like a freight train on mepps #4 and 10#test. Mepps #4 works best for me on twok FYI. Thanks for all you do, Dennis smile

OK, those who have been down the road to Rabbit Cove know how bad that road is - you can't do more than about 10 mph because of the continuous big potholes. Well, they have resurfaced about half to it - nearer the stop sign. So, as I was slowly bumping along on the way out I got to the newly surfaced part and naturally sped up. Now, mind you, nobody ever noticed a speed limit sign before since no one could approach that speed whatever it was. I was enjoying doing a decent speed (wasn't watching the speedometer) when up in front of me the blinking lights come on. He had mercy on me and just gave me a warning ticket though he clocked me at 50 in a 30 zone. He asked if I lived there and I said I was visiting a friend fishing, which he confirmed with the address on my license. When he said I as going 50, I said that was probably right since I had no idea what the speed limit was. I always try to be polite and call them sir or mam. I think it helps them to know I support them and am a friend to law enforcement by donating to the State Troopers Association and having a decal on my back window. So, I was very fortunate to just get a warning ticket. Who would have ever thought they would be checking for speeders on a road that historically no one could go faster than 10 mph? I guess, like me, others had been taking advantage of the new stretch of road.

I say that cop reads TFF and knows you're a celebrity Mepps Master?
I got one of those stickers in my bumper and got a warning too. Lol

We used rabbit Cove as home base when We fish twok
I canโ€™t even imagine that road being anything but terrible
RC is a great place! Definitely hard to imagine a speed trap there for sure DC
