May avoid the crowd and hit Winnsboro this weekend
Never fished it before
Any help would be appreciated
Grass? Pads? Timber? Deep water?
Only 1 ramp right?
Any advice on navigating?
Thanks for the help
Tommy
PM me to let me know how it was!

Drop your TM at ramp and get to fishing. They love to be shallow on this lake and hit every brush top you see . They are also on the boat houses now. Hit the brushpiles in front and around the boat houses.

There are actually 2 ramps (or at least there were at one time). The other one is at the campground/park.

Last I was there, about 2 years ago the campground was unusable. The ramp at the dam is steep, so you’ll need to adjust the depth you put the trailer in. I always go shallow and thrown a split shot rig.

I will warn ya'll that there is rebar near the reeds to.left of the ramp. Basically the reeds between the dam and the ramp. I learned that the hard way with a 8' gouge in a 2 week old boat last summer.

I live in winnsborro. Its one of my least favorite lakes in area. Quality fish are rare fish seem stunted. Lake has been over run by sand bass. Good luck
