The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our fourth members only tournament of the odd year of 2020 last Saturday July 11th on Lake Ray Hubbard. Despite the fact that the summer heat was out in force, 33 boats still came out to fish. Thankfully there was a good breeze/wind blowing all day to offset the 100 degree plus temperatures, and we started the day at 5:00AM and got done at 1:00. As seems to be the case with Mother Hubbard, it was a case of the haves and have nots. A few teams really caught them well and a lot of others struggled. When the weigh in was done, Team Crawford, James and son Trey won the day with a huge bag of 21.41 pounds. Big bass went to second place team of Brian Brooks and Steve Parrish with a 7.56 beast. Here are full results and pictures.
A tip of the cap to Stan Browning (pictured) and David Choate. They've been fishing most of this year with pretty major arm and shoulder injuries.
No matter what the day brings, Kasey Bunch has a smile on his face.
