The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our fourth members only tournament of the odd year of 2020 last Saturday July 11th on Lake Ray Hubbard. Despite the fact that the summer heat was out in force, 33 boats still came out to fish. Thankfully there was a good breeze/wind blowing all day to offset the 100 degree plus temperatures, and we started the day at 5:00AM and got done at 1:00. As seems to be the case with Mother Hubbard, it was a case of the haves and have nots. A few teams really caught them well and a lot of others struggled. When the weigh in was done, Team Crawford, James and son Trey won the day with a huge bag of 21.41 pounds. Big bass went to second place team of Brian Brooks and Steve Parrish with a 7.56 beast. Here are full results and pictures.

A tip of the cap to Stan Browning (pictured) and David Choate. They've been fishing most of this year with pretty major arm and shoulder injuries.

No matter what the day brings, Kasey Bunch has a smile on his face.

Chris Lewis and Phillip Green stuck it out and weighed one for 2.10

New members Jamie and Paige Reid had one but it was a good one, weighing 4.24

Josh Mulkey and Joey Eaves had four for 8.37

Their bag included a 5.86 kicker and Matt never met a picture he didn't want to be in

Weighing a 20 pound sack on Ray Hubbard in mid summer is tough. When you do it and get second, it's double tough. Brian Brooks and Steve Parrish's five went 20.44

[Linked Image]

That included big bass of the tournament, a 7.56 monster

[Linked Image]

Here are your winners! James and Trey Crawford with an outstanding bag weighing 21.41. Well done boys!

Their bag included this 6.26 kicker

Thanks to Vince Burt and Mark Werner for doing registration and checking live wells at 0 Dark 30. Thanks to Cameron for taking care of the payouts, Paul Spann and Trey Crawford for weighing fish and James Crawford for recording weights. Thanks to everyone that came out and fished with us! Our next summer fiesta will be on Saturday August 8th on Lake Fork. We are running the tournament out of Popes Landing with another 5:00-1:00 special summer hours day. We will keep you posted on any possible plans to have a meeting.
