Any water hazards to look out for at Lake Athens? Headed out there next week for some camping/fishing. Appreciate it!

Island to the left as you get up on plane is a big flat and very shallow, next point to the right has several widow makers. Be extra cautious as you run toward the dam, last big point on the right has buoys because there are a bunch of big trees. As Frank said, stay in the middle and you are good.

THere was an article awhile back about some steel poles left by someone dredging for boat docs.
I saw them and they were marked once. West of Island on North side of lake in front of new boat houses. About 50-100 yds (estimated) from shore.

Only real hazards are ski boats....other than what’s been stated. Some shallow spots here and there, but they are on most decent maps.

Was there the first time about a month ago. I had her trimmed up and ran the whole lake. No hazards that I found
Be ready for some grass! Weedless is about all you can do on that lake
