You cover your head/face, hands, arms with protective clothing, then leave a horizontal skin surface wide open to the sun - doesn't make sense. This relatively new trend in open shoe styles may one day be looked back upon as the reason skin cancer on feet happened. A few decades will reveal the answer.

Prefer tennis shoes, but my feet just get too dang hot. Never even considered foot cancer til now. Thanks guys, another thing to be worried about.
