Did Kelly Jordon leave Skeeter for Bullet?



The simplest and nicest way to put it was that Kelly's services were no longer wanted by Skeeter Boats & Yamaha Outboards as a result of Kelly's association and involvement with MLF, the MLF business plan and some specific MLF sponsoring companies.

Of course, some jack hole is going to ask for some evidence in an effort to make it not so.... it's "not true" because you do not want to believe it.

Are we going to discuss the Ex-Ranger Boat regional team guys next going to other brands or do we need to wait for it to hit the newspapers so that there is proper documentation? Ranger Boat dealers leaving/left the brand and others wanting to or being forced out??? Damn...can't talk about that either because of...

BTW, none of these comments should be considered as a knock on the anglers. The bass fishing tournament "industry" is tiny, much of the power and control has been consolidating in recent years and professional anglers can not say much if anything at all without repercussions.

between Discovery and Outdoor channel,MLF had 6 1/2 hours TV exposure this past week and 5 days of live streaming from Sturgeons Bay....MLF has over 300 hours of TV shows each year and BASS has about 30 hours so there must be more to SKeeter decision than exposure...

What it all comes down to is business decisions on both sides. A few were not re-signed, a few left for other manufacturers and a few had conflicting sponsor issues. As a business (saying you owned it) how would you feel if you had a budget then 1 month before the season kicks off most your employees say I’m doing something different? I’m going to fish another circuit with very little notice. Now you have to make a business decision to double your budget, double tournament schedules, Double employee travel, Double tournament support, etc... almost being forced into it with maybe a months notice. While you might of heard rumors of a new circuit, not one person of company notified you and have you little notice. Would you be a happy business owner? How would you feel about your employees? On top of that now you have to double your employee budget and go hire a completely new staff of employees, build boats and essentially doubling your budget. Would you be pleased with your employees? Especially if your products had very limited exposure and during certain events your employee represented different brand that you have nothing to do with? Fast forward a year and time to actually put business plans in affect and decide what direction you’d like to go and here we are in July 2021 with the outcome of business decisions having to be made. None of it is rocket science, just business. Before everyone chimes in, being involved in the industry and first hand knowledge, these are facts. Anyone who can look at things logically and from a business aspect would most likely agree. Good or bad sometimes decisions and going a certain direction is necessary. . .
