Did you try the Beavers Bend Fly Shop, Eddie the Owner should know if they are still stocking in the summer. 508.399.1005

I’ll be honest, this is the worst season to go fishing there. No one knows when they stock. It’s works out to about every other week but they aren’t on a schedule so sometimes they might make a double stocking several weeks apart.

Dawg is correct, there is no longer a set stocking schedule in the summers. the river is mainly for other recreational purposes - rafting, canoes, kayaks, cliff jumping, and general mischief.
My bet would be to hike up spillway creek and set the kids on one of the monster plunge pools with zebcos and eggs. Put them in a life jacket! It is a little spicy up there. You can fish the runs and pools nearby and keep an eye on them.
