Pretty straightforward. Prepared some hot dogs and chicken breasts with jello mix and garlic. Have it in the fridge now. Should I keep it in the cooler when I get to the lake or leave it at room temp? Does it matter?

I usually keep my bait thawed or fresh in a cooler, mainly to keep the flies away, and especially the ants.
Those darn flies and ants can make fishing with any kind of bait miserable. Even my punch bait I keep the lid on it if possible, and off the ground.
It doesn't matter in my opinion, but you can always leave a few pieces out if you feel they need to thaw.

Just one more cast!

I keep my cut bait in a cooler in the summer so it doesn’t dry out and get stiff.

i either keep my stubby's cheese bait in the cooler or on my deck. The key here is to fish with stubby cheese bait. now if my batt is a little warm i out it in the cooler.

I have a little 2-gallon Igloo cooler I use specifically for bait. For ice, I freeze a 1-quart milk jug with water. Experience has taught me putting bait in the same cooler as beer does not work.
