Went into a into a little creek off the intercostal Wednesday that I've had a lot of luck in lately. Bait busting all over the surface, redfish tailing, wakes chasing bait. I threw every color and body style soft plastic and top water I had from 2pm to dark and caught 2 undersized specs. My GF had live shrimp and 1st cast caught a 17" Red and that was the only thing she caught besides lady fish and hard heads. The only difference between Wednesday and the other times I've tried their is it was an outgoing tide with an opposing wind instead of an incoming tide with wind the same direction.

Besides moving to another location which was hard to do with what looked like such a lively spot do you just keep going through your tacklebox? The live shrimp is what stumped me. Feeding fish everywhere and she couldn't get anymore bites than I was getting with artificial.

Low BP maybe.
Salinity level is low forcing trout to deeper waters

Are you SURE those were redfish tailing? Big mullets can fool you sometimes.
They do go weird sometimes, I'll throw something that just makes them mad like a buzz bait

I have seen redfish concentrate on a specific bait and not waste time on anything else. They may have been laser focused on mullet. We have all had days when they just weren’t feeding. bolt

I’ve had redfish school go through the boat, but when I dropped a live shrimp on them, they’d scoot when it hit them on the head. They’re just not interested sometimes. Arghh...

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!
