Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!

This first part might be a long shot, but I am having to cancel my planned bachelor party trip to Miami in August due to Covid so now I am thinking of renting a house in Rockport or Port A. I am wanting to do some flats/wade fishing and there will probably be 6 of us and most of the guides I see cant hold that many. I'm not sure if you all know of any places that do boat rentals down there or if you could recommend a guide that can fit 6 on the boat.

Also, I'm looking on Airbnb, but if anyone has a house down there they'd be willing to rent for a weekend that would be awesome!

welcome It is going to be difficult to find a private bay guide that will take 6 on one boat. You might contact a guide and see if you can get a couple of boats that will fish together. There is good wade fishing from the road between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas if you want to go on your own.

Another option is dolphindocks. They have a 4 hour bay trip and will go out to the jetty and fish if the weather is good. You will be with other anglers, unless you want to charter the whole boat. It is definitely not wade fishing, but sometimes you can catch big fish on the trip.

Good luck and let us know how you do.

You also might consider getting a house on Copano with a lighted fishing dock. Yโ€™all would make some good memories there fishing and other things at night. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I am definitely wanting to get a house along a canal/with a pier. For best luck fishing from the house do you think it would be better to have one along Copano/Salt Lake or in the Key Allegro community on Little Bay/Aransas Bay?
