I have an Adios and about to deck it out. I have been looking at the Torqeedo and bixby stuff. Torqeedo is pretty pricy but is super nice. Leaning towards the bixby or even something else. Any recommendations? Does anyone own these brands?

I don't own any of those motors but have done a lot of research on them. Bixpy is a great option IMO. Torqeedo is better primarily due to the range it has. Both are great options for a kayak. Consider any adapters or electrical connectors, cord extensions, etc. you'll need in the price. I know one guy who spent over $1500 with tax on the Bixpy system when it was all said and done due to the adapters and longer battery cord needed for his kayak.

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I was looking at an island hopper one but for a few hundred more I could get a Bixby. Well probably a lot more than a few hundred but I think I want the Bixby battery anyway. Island Hopper never called me back and I definitely want a light battery setup anyway. Totqeedo TM just looks smaller and easier to use but Bixby is way cheaper compared to Torqeedo. It's crazy how much these things are.

Bixpy's are great motors for a kayak. They are expensive but they are priced where they are because they know what it costs to go the alternative route with a quality battery. If you want to cover a few miles a day Bixpy is the way to go. If you're looking to cover 10 miles or more a day Torqeedo is the only way to go.

What I am really looking for is a trolling motor like torqeedo that has a bixpy battery.

The Bixpy battery is 330 wh. The small Torqeedo battery is 320 wh. About the same size. Torqeedo also offers an optional 915 wh battery.
