Ever wondered how a new motorcycle arrives from the factory and is uncrated and assembled? Watch this video and see how it's done. Pretty surprising actually. To me anyhow.

So he unbolted a crate and folded back some mirrors....

I’d have thought there would be more to it. Like maybe a final QC inspection and checking of torque specs....maybe air up the tires.

So, moral of the story...when they say MSRP, TTL, and “make ready”....tell them to keep it in the box and save $500!

I actually know a guy who once called them on this... They ended up waiving the "set-up" fee and he took the crate home in the back of his pickup. He wasn't an experienced mechanic yet he got it together very easily. He wife thought he was nuts at first but was later quite happy he saved the money!

I tried that once. The dealer told me they couldn't for liability reasons. If I was older and wiser at the time i would have told them they could keep it. But that was when the market was booming and they didn't care about a sale here and there.

Ahhh, the good ol' liability reasons BS. It's amazing how when people threaten to walk, how those concerns start to lessen. smile
