TEA is saying no funding for schools who don't open the doors and offer both in school and online curriculum.

I Teach in a high school, in a district that is 80%+ kids in poverty. Like most poor schools we don't have new and shiney buildings, they are old and very overcrowded, 30 to 40 kids packed into a classroom. I have some faith in our administration but none in our state leadership. With 2000 students I have to believe we will have students with active Covid, on day 1, no one is addressing what happens then. When do you close? or do you close? Who had contact with the infected student? That would be everyone. If we open then stay open and ride it out. If we are going to close then don't open and give parents as much time as possible to plan. I hope for the best but I just don't see us going back.
