People have been proteating one thing or another for months. In June, it was police brutality and systemic racisim. In May, people were protesting social distancing and bussines shutdowns. Now people are protesting mask mandates. I feel like I'm living in the 1960s. I lived through the 60s and 70s. Protesting the Vietnam war and "the establishment", and civil rights. They were at least to most logical thinkers, justifiable causes. Fast forward to today and todays students look back thinking "We need to protest like they did". But, there are no real issues of magnitude as there were in the 60s', only a Bad Orangeman as President. So they make up issues and act out accordingly. Most of the hoodlum destroyers don't even understand exactly what it is they are protesting. To them, it is just fun to smash and burn.

I find it bizarre that the same people who view wearing a mask as an attack on individual freedom are just fine with a cop murdering somebody for no good reason

Amazing to me, that NYC the same. No one cares about the black on black crime rates. How odd..

I don't see the importance of harping on China. china hid this from the world and caused our economy to damn near collapse. do you think they are our friends? They hid it from the world. They did not have control of it when it came to America. We are responsible for that. There were a lot of countries that were hit that could have been prevented if China had been forthcoming when they first encountered the virus. how are we responsible for something we didn't know about? it was already here long before we knew anything. Two ways to look at it: We knew about it very early on and did not take it seriously. Some other countries did with better results than ours. We knew about it very early on and no matter how we responded its still their fault for not telling us when they first found out. I choose to take responsibility for my part. The US should too. There were a large number of countries that responded better than the US and we should at least acknowledge that we should have done more, sooner.

You do know neither one of them are in the top ten cities for murder. If its not political, why do these same cities always come under focus?

trump banned travel from china on Jan 31. for his effort he was labeled racist and xenophobic. how many of those countries didn't have to deal with carp like that? at this point the WHO was still saying it wouldn't travel from person to person.

simple. these two have some of the strictest gun laws in the country. they are proof of the fallacy of these laws. Simplistic thinking. Illinois has stricter gun laws than many other states. It requires licenses or permits to buy any firearm, and it requires waiting periods for buying any firearm. Chicago banned handguns in the city limits but that was overturned by the Supreme Court, so the city laws are not that strict. Wisconsin and Indiana have weak gun laws, that is where many of the weapons used in Chicago come from. A 2015 study of guns in Chicago found that more than 60% of new guns used in Chicago gang-related crimes and 31.6% used in non-gang-related crimes between 2009 and 2013 were bought in other states.

The same one that had fentanyl in his system and stopped breathing?
