There was booming all within a couple of blocks of my place and couldn't believe raccoons didn't split. After they got accustomed to it they didn't seem to even notice. Usually every 4th of July they scramble back into the woods and don't even return for two days. I talked them through it as the 7th baby raccoon showed up with their moms and ate. Might have helped that they got watermelon and steak scraps to go with their regular dose of cat and dog food. Oh and I put ice in their water bowl and bird bath... thought they had died and gone to heaven.. Had 5 little guys in bird bath at one time.

Went to my SIL house in the country, Ate some brisket and hot dogs and had plenty of fireworks. It was a good time. Hope it's not the last Independence Day we celebrate

My slice of the hood was rocking, more so than years past, we fired off some smaller stuff in the backyard then went out front to watch and hear the neighborhood, it was a fun 4th of July

Not very many in our neighborhood, really subdued this year. Around 2:00 AM the real fireworks started, way up in the sky. It woke the dogs up so we went outside since we were all awake. The thunderstorm lit up the sky for the next few hours and dropped almost 2" of rain. We had lightening and thunder for almost 5 hours.

No fireworks for us, the Schnauzers don't do well with them.

While they are illegal to detonate in the city I live in, it was one hell of a light show. Lol. Constant. Reminded me of Desert Storm.

Usually spend around $200 for a few big boy shells, this year just used up what we had left over from last year. Had 2 500 rolls of firecrackers and a few mortors left over from New Years. Served notice about 10 with 1000 firecracker salvo, then a short mortor show afterwords. Done by 10:15

We were on Bob Sandlin watching the fireworks from the water. There is a private house in Millionaires cove that puts on a truly amazing show. One of the best fireworks shows I have ever seen. Lasts a full 45 minutes. This year it started off a little slow but the balance was amazing! There were literally hundreds of boats on the water watching. Only a few knuckle heads playing their rap music too loud. They turned it off during the show. As you watch the main show, lots of other places were shooting off fireworks as well over the water.
J.P. you should come to the other side of the lake sometime for the show.

We had a good one at Shuck Me in Broken Bow, it was our third annual. I was not there. We put on a big one on Preston point on Lake Texoma in my back yard, it was a pretty big hit.

Our area was rocking...I put on a mini-show then we sat and watched the neighbors around us go to town. It was a beautiful site.
I do know one thing...my motors and grand finale were big, but damn there were some crazy ones near us. Lit up the street when they went off.

J.P. you should come to the other side of the lake sometime for the show. Yep the Sandlin show is crazy. Most boats you'll see on the lake all year, and really not much stupidity like you would expect with that many boats. We hung back by the railroad bridge to beat the crowd on the way out. Apparently that also made us the first candidate for a water safety check from Heath lol. All was good though other than my 12 year old niece (barely know how old i am, much less the nieces) not wearing a life jacket. He cut us a break on that one though.

They werenโt due to a burn ban. Maybe New Years.
