I have a friend that purchased a new to him boat with Garmin electronics,
He wants to take the marked spots from his Lowrance HDS 8 and install them on the Garmins.
Is there an easy way to do this? or what is the easiest way to do this. Thanks in advance.

Sorry not a Garmin guy here; however with any new/unfamiliar piece of equipment may I suggest he first download and read the specific Garmin owner/operator manual for his units. Doing so will save him many frustrating hours of trying to figure the units capability, operation and features.
Back to your question, he can definitely download his coordinates from the HDS 8 onto an SD card. Whether the Garmin will recognize and allow upload from said SD card is a question for the Garmin owners manual and/or Garmin support desk.
Hope this helps a little.
