Shouldn't the flashers be one to warn of a water hazard? Wouldn't want to have unsafe practices!

Whew! Too bad it ended up inverted. That's wrecking it even worse. I bet that recovery was EXPENSIVE - even just that crane, wow!

Another reason to also carry watercraft insurance. The possible fine for environmental damage due to fuel/oil getting in the lake can cost a lot more than the truck and its removal.

I have done well fishing a small Rapalas countdown minnow this time of year on a spinning rod. The bait might be an inch long but have caught some larger bass, white bass and crappie using this bait. I use it on other lakes also and it is not just specific to Texoma information. Since I retired I have learned I really like catching fish and the occasional white bass or crappie is a fish and is better than not catching fish.

My uncle lives a mile from Fayette. I'm there every Thanksgiving. About ten years ago I watched a Ford Ranger, standard transmission, drop off a boat in the water. The driver tried to pull out on the wet ramp and kept giving it a lot of gas but not letting out the clutch. The more the truck slid back the more he gassed it. We watched him slide all the way in up to the hood. Water was pouring into the cab and he jumped out. It was like a live, fiction movie! lol

Several years ago I was standing on the dock at the boat launch on my local lake, tying off my boat to go get my truck, and I watched as a guy started down the ramp to launch and never slowed down and backed in to where the water was up to his drivers side window.
He had the window down, and then jumped out of the window and swam to the shore with just his hood and windshield out of the water, and the boat was still pinned to the trailer with the bow down and the stern sticking up like a cork!

Just one more cast!

Think that may be the truck that slipped down mossy RMP into water. Believe it was a Brand new diesel truck. Guessing he wanted to show proof to insurance that it's still in the lake.

Think there's a post about it somewhere on here.
