I am the last person from whom to take dating advice...but I did come across the simple test to determine if further dates are worth exploring:
When asked her favorite color....
If she replies green pumpkin or watermelon red....brother, you have stumbled upon a gem.

I thought so, but it turned out we had too much in common. Bingo - My wife and I are complete opposites and i love it. She makes me a better person and would drive me crazy if she was just like me

Married 20 years. I have bought 5 boats without even telling her and every time she is happy for me. I schedule fishing trip without letting her know and she is happy for me. Same for her, she doesn't need my permission either we are both grown adults. When I invite my friends fishing all of them say, "Let me ask my wife." WTH? Did you marry your mommy? Grown man asking permission to fish? Ugh...grow a pair. Some even say, "My wife said no." Beta males. No way I could live with person that dictates what I can do. So you find a woman who isn't controlling and is happy when you pursue a passion, that my friend is priceless IMO.

I ask my wife out of respect and I’m not asking for permission. I’m asking if their are any other plans/commitments I’ve made to her that I may have forgotten about. If you are truly asking your wife for permission than no that’s probably not a healthy situation.
