How is the fishing? Can you find fish on the brush piles or should i try finding timber? Never crappie fish this lake. Thank you for the help. Taking my Pastor out tomorrow.

I think that most people are finding them on the brush piles. Fairly deep because of the heat.

No thermocline yet?

We were there today, launched at state park around 7:00am. We fished the brush piles only and caught fish on all of them. Mainly around the park area of the lake and were 20-30 fow. We used both minnows and artificial, Black & chartreuse artificial with a white Berkeley crappie bite worked best but minnows seem to get better later in the morning. Sizes were not great but still kept 22. We fished until about 11:30. I did run in to a lone crappie fisherman at the ramp and he fished timber and limited out.
