Got an older (1994) boat. Looking for someone to check out all the plywood, stringers, etc. Checked with a marine surveyor but little more than I want to spend.

Anyone have this done before? Someone you'd recommend?

Plastic handled screwdriver, tap the handle around, if it's a nice clean sound it's dry, a nasty thud is wet.

Looks like it's already been patched up.
Might consult another glass guy, but first you need to determine just how far the bad stuff is.
Take a grinder, get it all out down to bare glass. I'd laminate coosa board to the right thickness, cut so it's a nice snug fit. I'd use Sikaflex to bond your repair to the floor and both sides, then mat to glass it all together and gel coat over it. That repair would be stronger than original.

Probably too much for me to take on but I'll find a shop to take a look at it

Well now you’re going down a different path. What are you working on? I’d hate to spend two grand fixing a five hundred dollar hull.

If you really like it and plan on keeping it then the repair has value, if it’s a short time thing then run it until it breaks.
