Power tackle gets my vote. Just the right flex, parabolic ratio-solid stout, but less lost fish imo. When I’m after big fish-power tackle rods.
I’m sure the others above are solid options as well.

Last few years I've been upgrading to GLX and NRX sticks and their sensitivity is amazing. And I recently I bought a Conquest 167ML on eBay and that sucker's sensitivity is SICK!! I got the Conquest for $375 in like new condition and it's the most fun I've had fishing in a while.

You do get what you pay for. I also got a Poison Adrena spinning rod recently and I think I prefer it over my GLX sissy sticks at the moment. Which is saying something since the GLX is an awesome rod.

Exactly. What do you consider a "fair" price? That will make a huge difference in your choices. There are a ton of good worm and jig rods out there so what price range are you talking about.

This technique is definitely one I would spend a little more on. In other words spent as much as you are able to afford. You want all the feel you can get. I use Falcon Cara's but there are many good rods for you to choose from. Brand is subjective to the individuals.

If only you could still buy Cara’s, they haven’t released the new ones yet.

I have heard they are going to put out a new version. Not sure what that means for the Expert. Not much sense in having two lines of rods at the same price point. Not sure if being made here or China makes a difference but I hope they make them here again. If I had to start over I think I would lean towards Kistlers right now, I really like the North Fork Composite blanks they use.

Wish they would bring back the Cara Amistad rod, most versatile rod I’ve used.
