My fishing buddy (Doug K) and I have caught several Smallmouth on Grapevine, but haven't in a while. Anyone else catching then out there?

I caught some last fall and will target them again this fall. I caught several in the 3lb. range. looking forward to it. I was actually stopped by game wardens last fall and they asked me what I was fishing for, when I told them smallmouth, they seemed surprised that someone would actually target these fish.
