After some tough outings recently, we had some success yesterday in the Galveston Bay. Overcast and windy, during a rising-high tide. Lots of speck activity on Gulp! new penny color 3" threaded onto 1/8oz jigheads, walked along the bottom in sand flats about 4' deep.
Was very excited to get some bites and catches on a jighead, since we had only used popping corks in Galveston prior to that. Some very beautiful speck caught and released (on purpose!). Hope this helps anyone looking to get out there in the coming days.
See yall on the water.
