If you look at this Thread https://texasfishingforum.com/forum...rmin-humminbird-lowrance-tr#Post13002251 you notice the Livescope transducer is mounted on the Port side of the Pole. The Transducer is mounted flat and my instructions for Livescope this is correct. Notice that the Transduceris Flat on top. However if the Transducer is mounted on the Starboard side the Transducer is angled up to get the Forward view. Can someone explain why mounting on the Port side should not be angled the same way as Starboard?

It all boils down to where you mount the transducer on the pole. The picture you referenced was the correct way on the port side. It was mounted on the outside of the pole. You can spin it to the inside of the pole, still on the port side of the boat, but the angle changes. The Transducer can only be mounted one way one the pole, and turn it to the inside or the outside of the pole. The transducer has three different shooting angles that combine to give you the right picture. If you mount the transducer on the Starboard side of the boat, on the outside of the pole, then you'll have to have it flat on the bottom of the transducer. If you mount it on the inside of the pole then it will be flat on the top. Hope that clears it up some. If not let me know what additional questions you have.

It's time to "Set The Hook"!!!!!!

What angle do you use if you have it mounted on the bottom of the pole starboard side?

I don’t believe the angle is different. It’s just flipped a different direction. I have had mine on both sides. It didn’t seem to make any difference. I still did terrible at the last tourney.

If you are mounted on the starboard side of the pole or trolling motor your transducer will be flat/ level on the bottom of the transducer to the water's surface. One-click forward/ downward will take you to the down view and the center beam will be flat/ level to the water's surface.
