it is fishing a public water that your taxes help build and now they get you for another $20. DO that 20 times a year it will add up.. Most people live pay check to pay check.

There is no telling how much $ April Plaza has made during this pandemic. I've driven by when they had trucks lined up 105, waiting to get in the gate, at $20 a pop.

guys it not that hard if you don't want to pay 20.00 to launch your boat go somewhere where its free or cheaper trying to tell a private business owner what he can charge for service wont work. where its free there is generally a bigger chance of vandalism .

80,000 boat. 65,000 truck. 25000 in electronics plus outrageous insurance for all of it.
But 20.00 is the wall. Interesting
Finally there’s a breaking point but who knew it was this amount. Basically, what it boils down to, is it's not the price, it's the principle

Years ago there use to be a place where you could back your trailer in, launch and leave your trailer in the water until you got back. Is that place still there?

The majority of the boats launching on Conroe don't even blink at $20 a launch. That's the target group. They know they can get $20 or even $25 and still have a full lot. They aren't worried about the few they may lose that don't wanna pay that.

if you think its high buy some lakefront property an get in competition it cost a lot to run marinas an they don't make good money all year. And they are in that profession by CHOICE. Say what you want, but $20 is going to cost them more revenue than it will gain. The reality is their parking lots are full most of the time. There are two ramps on Conroe that cost $5 and one that is free.

one problem is we have got used to cheap launch fees due to most ramps being owned by the state or county and them using tax payer dollars to pay for the cost of building a ramp and parking lot....the other alternative is an individual buying lakefront property and paying the cost of a ramp and parking....with todays prices on lakefront property and cost of installing a ramp,I'm not sure but what $20.00 is a bargain......

$30 at Squaw Creek and there’s a line everyday they are open. I know guys who get there at 0230 just to get a good spot in line, the ramp opens 0630.
