Looking into an aluminum rig to purchase for a pretty fair price, but was told there is a small leak believed to be where an old transducer was mounted. Bilge has to be ran every 3-4 hours, but never affects getting on plane. Thoughts? First boat purchase myself so trying to be smart about it

JB Weld prep and clean the area and it'll last forever.

So not that big of an issue? Got a long drive to see it so deciding if itโ€™s worth it

what pat said, if it is accessible you can run a #8 or so ss bolt thru, use jb in the hole and on each end to seal.

Certainly wouldn't keep me from buying something.
Holes are easy, cracks are what causes pain.

keep a few of these around https://www.hansonrivet.com/rivets/blind-pop-advel-rivets/closed-end-blind-rivets/ and JB weld when you put them in, problem solved. I have a few in my tin boat and they work perfectly. Work much better than screws.

agree with the holes being easy to fix.
