Went to Conroe this morning and low an behold the launch fee went up from $15.00 to $20 bucks now. I guess because it's privately owned you can charge what you want ? I guess they need to pay for all the premo floating boat docks.

They got the ramps and charge what they want. Though $20 is not really that much money anymore, it's still too much for a ramp fee!

Cagle Recreation Area
Scott’s Ridge Boat Ramp
End of FM 830

Otherwise, you got to pay one of the three private marinas open to the public.

And they are in that profession by CHOICE. Say what you want, but $20 is going to cost them more revenue than it will gain.

80,000 boat. 65,000 truck. 25000 in electronics plus outrageous insurance for all of it.

But 20.00 is the wall. Interesting

Finally there’s a breaking point but who knew it was this amount.

Or maybe he has a $1500 boat and wants to take his kids fishing but can't afford to pay 20 just to launch

Even then... Its not the fact that's it $20.. it's the fact that its $20 to back your boat down a slab of concrete! It dont matter how much my rig is worth, that's just ridiculous

Your either rich or your in debt up to your eyeballs. Cuz I couldn’t afford any of what you just named even if I wanted to. No way in hell am I paying for a $20 ramp just to launch my 16 year old boat.

$32 dollars to launch at lake casitas in California if your boat has been inspected and locked to your trailer with there tag.
And that is why I moved to Texas many years ago.
