It was to windy to do what I wanted today, so I ran over to Lake Granbury with my Jon boat. The water was a nice green color instead of the golden algae brown tea color observed the last time I was there. I used a fly rod to fish all morning and ended up with about 10 bluegill to 9”. I probably could have caught 100 with worms roflmao. I also landed a couple of carp.

Worm and size 6 hook works on a fly rod also.
Nice job.

Baiting the hook works, but I am usually fishing for fly records when I use my fly rod. Adding bait or scent to the fly eliminates the chance at a record, since it no longer qualifies as fly fishing. However, it will greatly increase your success rate roflmao

I have to admit that the 31.5 inch carp I caught on a bluegill fly, that took me 30 minutes to get in, was fun. breakdance
