I've always been a bass fisherman but I caught a big blue cat while fishing for striper on a buddys boat. I know its not massive but it was big for me. Since then I have been wanting to try a little more for catfish. Home lake is lake Lewisville but Grapevine and Eagle Mtn are in reach. Any suggestions on how to get started and where to fish? I'll be bank fishing mostly.

First, Im no guru. But, I will break the ice. What I know. Blues love live shad and live perch. Suspended off the bottom. Santi rig, or float them with a bobber. Trim their tail feathers to put them in distress. And, to keep them from motor boatin your bobber as bad. But like I said, Im no pro. One of the catfish whisperers, will chime in soon. Im sure. Lots of good tips from lots of good guys on here. Good luck.
