Usually its the other way around, sell an older boat and get into a newer model. I went the other way.....I found a cream puff 04' Charger 496TF that has 1 hour on the Mercury Racing 250 PRO XS motor. One of my buddies neighbor had this boat, had the Merc put on and then had a stroke, went into a nursing home and the boat sat in storage the last several years. I was able to get this at a price I couldn't pass up soooooo........I sold my 2014 Ranger Z521 and used A LOT of those funds to outfit this boat exactly the way I wanted it. It only needs a good buff and wax to be 100%...

I did the following:

New Carpet - Thanks V&S
2X Talons
Ionix Lithium batteries all around - 3X12V for the Force and 1X Cranking
Garmin Force Trolling Motor
Garmin 126 SV Console
Garmin 126SV Bow
Panoptix
Rewired everything and put in new pumps

Zach at Southwest Parts installed everything yesterday and we're now ready to finish the break in for the motor..... Heading to Cedar Creek tomorrow for TTO Championship!!

Oh yeh, if anyone knows where to get a SOLID Charger cover, please let me know, only thing I see worth a dang is the Aurora covers.

Here are a few pics.

Couple reasons....its solid for 1....2. Building a new Lake house on Texoma and the equity I had in the Ranger came in handy!

and the charger will outride and outrun any ranger.
nice ride, call charger direct and see where they get their covers made. aurora does a great job.

As far as ride it has a Champion hull doesn't it? Looks like a clean boat to own and have fun in. Good luck with it.

Nice boat! I got a new Aurora cover a few months back and could not be happier. Amazing fit....way better than the Skeeter cover I got when I bought the boat...tight as drum and no low spots that collect water...double stitched seams and reinforcement at all contact points. I went with the acrylic fabric because they claim it won't fade because the dye is mixed in during the fabric manufacturing process rather than dyeing after the fabric is made. They also embroider the manufacturer full color logo (if you want it) on the cover. Logo on the Skeeter cover was just white screen-print and all but wore off after a couple years. If they have the patterns for your boat, I would definitely consider them.

Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading

No but its the closest thing out there to Champion now, don't care what the Ranger guys say it will definitely outride a Ranger
