(Galveston) Some tackle. Mainly lead weights!! Capt.Kent that writes the Reel Report column for the Galveston Daily News says he has contacted many bait camps and even Academy in town. All sizes, shapes, and types are being depleted. Hooks supplies vary from store to store he says.So, check your tackle boxes and see if your running low. Out of town folks...check your local shops before you leave if ya plan to come down.....

This stay at home thing plus manufacturing companies shutting down are to blame.....so says an Academy staff in G-town.

I have the same problem at the Allen Cabela's. One measly pack of #B was the only split shot they had left as of yesterday and their bullet weight stock is dwindling as well. We'll just have to hang tough for now, I suppose.

Government is making more bullets? In all seriousness, my local academy is done. I stopped at the Tackle Unlimited stores on my way to Galveston and they are low too. They usually have bulk weights. There are no more lead smelters in the US so it has to come from overseas.
