That's a constant around here of late. Along with a hate of medical professionals and their opinions, math, science, logic and intelligence. A bit of an exaggeration Dan. No need to go too far the other way. And yet that is what he does a lot-

https://thefederalist.com/2020/06/2...f-attack-by-rioters-a-white-supremacist/Here's a real-life example of my hypothetical that popped up in my news feed today. Cliffs notes version: Rioters trap civilian in her car and assault her, tearing her hair out and pointing a gun at her. She attempts to escape using her car to get away and some of the rioters are injured in the process. I don't see any reason that she should be liable for acting in self-preservation like any sane, reasonable person would do. To add insult to injury, media outlets are falsely claiming that such incidents are deliberate attacks by 'right-wing extremists', rather than acts of desperation by crime victims. This is the spirit of the argument. If a group is that uncivilized and aggressive they are fair game. In a lot of recent incidents its pent up hate and aggression. I follow some conservative twitter feeds and have seen more videos of hyper aggressive black on white beatings in the last week than I have the whole time I have been on twitter. If you want to see some examples go to @realjameswoods twitter feed. So yes, if I get trapped and it gets ugly and I cannot pass without running over some one I am not waiting around to take a beating from a mob. A peaceful group just making their grievances known I am not at all inclined to run over them. I will try to avoid any of the above at all costs.

Claiming that racial biased don't exist etc. How ignorant and selfish is that? I just gotta keep it real brother. I'd prefer nothing else then we could just get back to doing goofy posts, with dck jokes and talk about fishing, kids accomplishments, lawn care, tv shows and dogs. Brother, I didn't go to the bunker, it came to me.

Can't believe anyone would condone gathering on a busy road for any reason. If you're there to peacefully protest, why would you be in the road?

Agree, protesting/assembling in a road is not something I’d recommend. Ambulances, firetrucks, law enforcement etc need clear access on roads to respond to emergencies.
However, protesters of all political persuasions have historically gathered on public streets because it gets attention. When I trained at Parkland, JWP was leading protesters on Harry Hines protesting for better Parkland employee wages. That was particularly careless and dangerous with all the emergency vehicles that utilize those roads regularly.

I totally agree doc, I think most, and I know my problem is how are we able to tell which one is going to be the one that has the violent ones in them? Don’t you think they all started out looking peaceful?

My boat extends my stopping distance, by a lot, and I don't think many of the city boys and girls playing in the street would realize that. Plus I don't want them touching my stuff, #Garminmatters.

If you’re going to argue that you should be able to end another person’s life because you’re inconvenienced, I really don’t know what appeals I can make.

Don't be so smug . I can assure you that there are plenty of young ones (in rural areas , at least) that would be happy to join those AARP members .

Hop, that Bill was introduced in 2017. You made it sound as if it was a current deal. My guess is it did not pass.
I think you got excited about something that isn’t going to happen. Sorry.
