What in the...
I don't understand the benefit in responding to extremist behavior or ideologies with more extremist behavior and ideologies...just to the other end of the spectrum.
Why can't we forgive trespass and work to find common ground rather than focus on and celebrate retaliatory or extremist rhetoric?
The politicians and the media seriously are working to divide us for their own purposes and gains. This kind of nonsense shows me that they're doing an excellent job.
the red is spot on, the benefit to an extreme response is, no one ever won a war by kissing and making up, did they? I would guess that all combined we are around 5 billion in lost wages/bldgs/inventory etc. due to a few morons that got pushed by others to go berserk (didn't take much tho) and destroy their own communities again. splain how that benefits anyone. how is appeasing a tantrum fixing a problem? we have govt. officials backing ending policing of their communities while the same community had 11 people shot and wounded and another dead, guess who they called. any one that is missing the insanity of current events is simply not paying attn. \ name the expected end result of what is currently the reason to loot and pillage, it is not talk like a pirate day either (rip tfp).

I think if you break a crime while protesting it is no longer a peaceful protest and needs to be treated as such...

If any of y'all actually think you may run over someone for being in the street and impeding traffic, I'd not post about it on a public forum. That would demonstrate premeditation and become capital murder or attempted murder.
So either your silly enough to provide such evidence willingly and of your own accord, or you're all talk.
If it's from colum A, or B, I'd pipe down. Go call your Dad, or if he is gone say a prayer for him. That'd help more than this type of rhetoric.

I've seen a time, now I was just a lad, but Ive seen a time when running over protesters was "legal". You see what happened was those individuals who had the vehicles really didn't like the message of the protesters. And they were being sorely inconvenienced. After all, they were blocking the roads! Do any of you remember that time? I certainly would hope that this type of activity would not be something that good Americans would find to be a keen idea. Much less something we would like to replicate or "joke" about.

Assault with deadly force on a peaceful assembly is unAmerican Here’s a picture of some Prolife supporters peacefully walking on a public street but burning business and pulling people out of trucks and cars and beating them up simply because they stop for the protest is AMERICAN. don't want to live in your america. its illegal to stop traffic on a interstate been that way for 50 years. You can stop interstate commerce its a crime to stop traffic. I guess you are ok with law breakers ok got it.

if you block my car,hem me in or try to drag me or my family out of my vehicle, there should be no liability if I run over or shoot you to protect myself....and while we are passing some common sense laws to protect us from hoodlums, lets pass a law that says if you resist arrest, fight with police or flee from police, they are allowed to shoot you with no liability civil or criminal....it won't take but a few being shot to stop all black lives matter protests....... exactly, peaceful protest does not involve causing harm to others, when you start that you are now committing felonies and should be dealt with accordingly. I came close once in the truck, st. louis but I don't remember the reason. they shut down I70 with tons of folks but I had to go down 44 to joplin. they probably don't want to screw with another truck driver after the denny bs in l.a. fearing for ones life while driving an 80,000 # truck will not go well for protesters. I wonder what the engine torque to body mass comes out to, semis avg around 1,200 ft# or more. Yep. I agree with Dan that it's not ok to just run over protesters. But when their actions move from lawful, peaceful demonstration (albeit being monumental jerks for interfering with the rights of others), and move into assault of those trapped motorists, I do think that the motorists should not have civil or criminal liability for injuries to the people who are blocking them in. Hypothetical scenario: Demonstrators block road. Vehicle at front gets swarmed with rioters breaking the windows and trying to attack the occupants. A sane, reasonable person would step on the gas and go through the obstacle for the sake of his/her own life (and whoever else is in the vehicle). That driver should not have to face civil and criminal charges for taking action to save his/her own life, even if it resulted in the injuries or deaths of some of the attackers.

We should save this thread, for evidence.
