Poche made a heck of a run at it today after zeroing yesterday. He had 12 lbs and change yesterday. We were in the lock and the gates were almost closed when he pulled up to lock back up. He missed the lock by a few minutes and I guarantee that cost him the win. He would be leading by several pounds if I left his area a couple minutes earlier.

Chris Jones knows every fish by name on that river, it must be brutally tough out there right now. But clouds and rain are moving in, it might get good tomorrow.

I used to get there extra early and pound the wing dams around the locks just to make sure I made it in. Every once in a while I was able to cull off of them.

I had 12lbs yesterday & locked up with 3.5 hours to go. I wasn’t taking any chances of being caught by a barge.

I had 12lbs yesterday & locked up with 3.5 hours to go. I wasn’t taking any chances of being caught by a barge. The Opens are hard enough to win, add that extra pressure point in and it's almost impossible. It sucks knowing where the winning fish are and having to deal with that. Dang James that 1 fish was the cut.

Weigh in will be interesting with how close the top 2 are! Enjoyed the live coverage. I agree it will be close ! Really glad to see BASS Live covering the Opens, I knew coverage was coming at some point I was just a few years too early when I competed. Hats off to BASS for doing this  Debra
