I have a HOA pond I’ve been fishing in my neighborhood and doing fairly well. In the past few weeks I’ve caught two just shy of 7 and a bunch of 3-4s. However, since it’s started warming up a lot, it seems like the fish are farther between even early and late in the day. Should I start targeting bass in the deep water? Some areas get to 30ft where the creek channel runs through (spring fed pond also). I’m unsure if ponds develop a thermocline like lakes especially spring fed waters. I’ve heard bass don’t go deep in ponds but looking for suggestions. Most fish are coming between 8-14ft so far.

i would night fish or topwater very early and late. they dont move much in the heat.

Does the pond have a fountain to help keep it oxygenated? They may be slowing down due to lower oxygen levels.

not a fountain, but we have 3 big aerators in the pond.

As the temperature goes up the fish often shutdown during the day. Oxygen becomes an issue so I would try targeting the aerators. And the bass will move deeper. Early and late is the key.
