The Ray Hubbard Bass Club finally held our third tournament of 2020 Saturday June 13th on Lake Tawakoni. Typical early summer day it was sunny and hot but with enough breeze to make it tolerable and not so much wind that it turned Tawakoni in to the monster it has been in our past. Our members were itching to fish as we had the second largest turnout in RHBC history. 52 boats came out to fish! Fishing was very good for the most part as there were 25 limits brought to the scales and only eight teams recorded a 0. When it was over the team of Tommy Climer and Kyle Bell were the winners. They brought in a great sack of 18.76 pounds. Included in that bag was the big bass of the tournament, a 6.39 beast. Here are full results and pictures.

Thanks to my partner Chris Atkinson for running a mini marathon Saturday morning checking livewells. Thanks to our Treasurer Cameron Laing for keeping the money straight and to Paul Spann and James Crawford for weighing and recording fish. Thanks to our members for adhering (for the most part) with distancing and everyone that came out. Our next tournament is Saturday July 11th on Lake Ray Hubbard. Hope to see you there!

great job anglers! key was to get a kicker or couple 4 pounders. we never had that chance. lots and lots of 2 pounders! over the next few years this lake is going to fish really well with the huge volume of 1-2.5 pound largemouth bass in it!
