Today I'm so sad it hurts.

Benji 'the wonder dog' passed away today. We are very sad he is gone but happy that he can now run and play like he did when he was young.

I was so blessed to have this one in a million - amazing dog. For some reason he attached himself to me from the day we got him - true unconditional love. He would lay facing me so he could make sure I didn't leave without him. He always wanted to be near me. We adopted him from an ad on the TFF 12 yrs ago.

He was not my dog - he was our dog - but I was his boy and I'll miss him every day.

The Good Lord called yet another of his Angles home! You nailed it Wildone. Dogs show unconditional love just like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ does! Rest assure that Benji is in Heaven now and he will be waiting for you with his tail wagging.

Thanks guys - its been a tough couple days.

They say you get one special dog - and I think that's right. I was fortunate to have mine, and glad you and your family got to have yours.

A very close friend of mine lost his dog a couple of years ago. As the saying goes the dog was truly his best friend. After the dog had passed away my friend swore that he would never own another dog. Needles to say my friend had found a dog that had been abandoned on a back country road. That dog is my friend's new best friend. I truly believe that God puts pet's in a person's life for a reason!




Side Note: Looking at your picture I feel that the Good Lord would want to give you another GREAT FRIEND!

Another great pet was simply called home! What has already been said above. I feel that the Good Lord has another dog already picked out for you when the time is right.

Wildone - I have had (in my 71 years) several "wonder dogs" and several that were "difficult". It's like getting your "last" gun - until you get the "next" one . . . . . .

A Dog's Last Will and Testament

Before humans die, they write their last Will & Testament, and give their home and all they have to those they leave behind.
If, with my paws, I could do the same, this is what I'd ask....

To a poor and lonely stray I'd give:

My happy home.
My bowl, cozy bed, soft pillows and all my toys.
The lap which I loved so much.
The hand that stroked my fur and the sweet voice which spoke my name.
I'd will to the sad scared shelter dog the place I had in my human's heart, of which there seemed no bounds.

So when I die please do not say, "I will never have a pet again, for the loss and pain is more than I can stand."
Instead go find an unloved dog; one whose life has held no joy or hope and give MY place to him.

This is the only thing I can give...the love I left behind.

The Rainbow Bridge is good, but this one tears me up. R.I.P. Benji, enjoy your play-time with #9 . . . . . .
