Need to bet enough the $0.50 doesn't make a difference. But I understand your concern. It's pay the ante or spend the $$ on airline tickets, rooms and then resort fees on top. So actually for most it's cheaper to pay the ante.

I usually play poker. But 5 handed I'm NOT so sure about. Wouldn't be enough "new" $$ coming into the table to offset the rake.

Choctaw now has a 'NO SMOKING' section which is nice. I don't go gamble but we do go up and bowl and play some of the games.

Been to Choctaw 3 times since they re-opened. Every other machine is off for social distancing. Came out ahead 2 out of the 3 times, but not much. It's enough to keep you there. I don't mind. Too hot to fish right now so my wife and I have fun going. We get the free rooms and buffet so I can't complain. Plan to hit Vegas in September for our anniversary.

Went with a buddy of mine this past weekend to play the Scissortail at Winstar. The course was well kept. We played blackjack afterwards at the casino. The mandatory mask thing was loosely enforced.

Thanks for the info on the courses, appreciate it. I've gambled exactly one time, on a off shore fishing trip with my dad and his buddies, down in Biloxi. Played some video poker, while sitting at a bar getting free drinks and cashed out at $80 up. Still don't know how to play poker, all I ever bet on was 2 of a kind. Still have no idea how I won the $80. All I could think of was, this is stupid. Sitting around drinking, smoking and throwing your money away? Much more fun and stimulating ways to waste money.

Chickasaw Nation operates both Border Casino and WinStar World Casino. The border casino is not small anymore. It is a big building now that offers all e-games. We will stop by there sometimes and spend about 50 bucks. If they are hitting, we stay. If not, we move on to Winstar.
