I want to purchase 2 Solix units, along with a new trolling motor. I want a first class install. Who is the the best in the Dallas, Ft Worth, or Austin area?
Thanks

I can recommend Aaron Towner of Texas Boat Works. He installed my Humminbird fishfinder this past week and it was done right, clean and fast. I'm going to use him in the future for installing other electronic accessories for my boat.

I highly recommend Aaron. I could barely get a call back from most of the other installers in the Denton / Lewisville / Sanger area. I understand people are busy, but the dates of getting in for install would change from other businesses. Aaron told me on a Tuesday he thought he could have me in and done on Friday afternoon. He keeps his word and does an awesome job. Very clean and professional installation. Plus, his shop is awesome.

I recently went with Garmins with the Livescope system. Before I went with them, I talked to technical support reps from Garmin, Lowrance and Hummingbird. They all said the biggest problem by far they see is improper installation. So even though I went with another brand I had them installed by Jones Trolling Motor who knew how to set them up. I would definitely go with Texas Boat Works and get those hummingbirds put in correctly. That way you don't have to worry about installation problems when you are trying to figure out all the features etc. When you drop $6k on new units, the few hundred dollars for installation from someone who knows what they are doing is not that much in my opinion.
