I do this pretty regularly for LEO, First Responders and Military as well. It is such a small thing to do to say thank you for all they do for all of us.

Great post steveiam! Agree 100%

A lot of great positive posts, and I too am very thankful. These guys and gals are stronger people than me to do what they do.

Thank you all! The best thing any of you can do for the profession is tell a young person you know how rewarding the job can be. All this manufactured negativity will never take away from the lives I have been in the right place to save or the help I have given to people in need. We need help now more than ever and if your tough enough to weather this storm you can have a very rewarding career and a healthy pension.

I've been buying LEO, FF's and military personnel meals for a long time. Of course, my donut shop was pretty much directly across from the police station and fire fighting training center...so that might have had something to do with it too. Knew many people on a first name basis. Think it was Saturday, I tried to buy the meals of two officers at IHOP. Apparently IHOP doesn't charge them a penny to begin with.

And Thank You all! For your bravery and the jobs you do. Well, most of y'all anyways.

Called my buddy in H-Town who is a constable to say Thank You. He said the first week was pretty rough when the protests started, but this week he was more worried about the China virus. Sounds like things may be starting to get better for the thin blue line, in some cities at least.

In the last two years I have seen more blatant disrespect and defiance for LE than in the entire rest of my career. I have also had more meals purchased — mostly anonymously — than in the rest of my career. All of this nonsense has polarized the nation. Prejudice is wrong. But most of the mainstream media is encouraging blue prejudice. Many of the people who speak to me about this situation are saying that this is turning them bitter toward blacks. DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN!!! You can hate the hate groups, But all people — all people — should be viewed by their individual traits, and not by their race, religion, nationality, or other criteria over which they have no control.

Americans need to learn to think for themselves again. Too many people here have allowed the media to tell them what to think, how to vote, and who to hate. It has to end.

I will never ever understand why our Law Enforcement , Firefighters, Paramedics, and Military get paid such low wages.

I will never ever understand why anyone with an IQ over 35 thinks any of the above deserves anything other that our total respect, even while being handed a traffic ticket.

I have been given a polite verbal warning to slow it down more times than I can remember in my 50 years driving. When they ask if there is a reason I was speeding, I say, "no SIR , I was just not paying attention" When they say "Sir, I had you on my radar going 66 mph in that 55mph zone" I reply, "YES SIR, I am sure you are correct"

Who are the bad cops you speak of? I support LEO's 100 percent and the job they have is thankless for the most part. It irritates me when people jump to conclusions and start blaming them without the total facts. Both cases would not have occurred had the individuals not broken the law to start with. The "rioters" are the real culprits here, not any of the LEO's, both cases will result in internal investigations. burning, looting and defacing historical sites is not an answer and one I certainly do not support, as law breakers they should be prosecuted. this article throws some doubt on the media hyping of the situation. It appears that the officers may have been following required procedures.

I think you're misunderstanding my point. My point is that there are so few bad cops out there, there's no way we should be seeing the current reaction. Recent examples of bad cops would be Amber Guyger and Mohamed Noor, both of whom were convicted of murder. Chauvin hasn't been convicted of anything yet, so he may or may not fall into the category of bad cop.
