I have not bought fireworks in 30 years but this year my son and his new girlfriend will be her to celebrate my wife's birthday which is July 5. Anyway, I would like to buy some good rockets that I could shoot off over the back acreage but don't have a clue what to buy. Can someone give me a lead on the best bang for the buck on rockets? I am in the Tyler area but not sure how the local brands go but I am sure they sell the same thing as the rest of the state.

I am retired and don't want to spend a lot but I would like to have something decent.

There's a guy in the non-fishing classifieds that sells fireworks. He should have some ideas

It seems like every year my $100 to $150 gets us less and less fireworks.

First, make sure the County (Smith?) doesn't have any fireworks bans; the County, not the City. Some do. I think it has to do with population.
Watch the weather. Burn Bans may be in effect by the 4th.

Start watching for signs. The stands should be opening soon.

Lastly, be careful.

If you can get this: Excalibur Fireworks Artillery Shells, you won't regret it.

Kind of depends on, at who or where you aim them. grin

One well-aimed round will put an end to a bottle-rocket fight pdq .

Not that I've ever done that . peep
