How well do wrapped bass boats hold up when fishing in the thick woods? How mush is the average cost for boat and trailer ? Your opinion and advise would be appreciated...

I haven't had a wrapped boat before, but I worked in a sign shop for a few years. It's vinyl, and it can get snagged and scrapped just like paint ... or even easier. It isn't armor plate and had to be treated with a reasonable amount of care. Depending on the shop that applies it and the manner that it is printed, most can be repaired fairly easily if damaged and the repairs will be much cheaper than trying to repair a scrape or minor damage to gel coat. I would inquire at the applicator what can be done if and when it does get damaged.

My last 3 boats were wrapped. It definitely is not armor plate like the gentleman above said. Also not all wrap is as durable as others. Make sure they show you a sample of the film they are going to be using. Even the best wrap is not as scratch resistant as the clear gelcoat on a boat. I'm not sure I've seen anybody wrap the trailer but the average cost on a 21' boat is about $3K.
