I've seen a few of you on here touting some amazing lawns...the one we have isn't too bad. So I want to keep it that way.

My issue is I can't locate all the valves nor do I have a diagram of where they are. I can find most of the heads as many of them work. Here's my issues that I'm aware of:

1) One bank completely throws a fault and I cannot find it at all
2) I have low pressure in one bank, but I cannot find a missing or broken line
3) I have a broken main pipe leading to one bank and it's near the sidewalk

How do I go this? Call a professional? Or are there tools that I can get to master this?

After I get this worked out...I'll be asking for aid in getting rid of some spiky grass that is taking over in a few spots.

What you describe sounds best left to a professional unless you know someone with experience who can come help you.

Probably looking at a 350 $ bill to get it all fixed.

This, $350-$500 from an irrigation company. Sounds like your complete system needs to be checked.

I would for sure call a professional on that. Ask around and see who is recommended. Nextdoor app typically has good/bad reviews. I busted a sprinkler a couple weeks ago. Check with a few people on who they used and decided who to go with. They came out and did a full system check, replaced the sprinkler I busted, checked every other sprinkler in the yard and flowerbeds. They made a few adjustments to some of the lawn sprinklers and replaced 3 flowerbed head nozzles that weren't spraying correctly that I never noticed. All for $100.00 - I was very pleased with their work.

Anyone on here know of a company near me in Pilot Point?

I did the FB marketplace last year and got slammed with a $1300 bill. That was because they had to replace the entire main valve coming from the street to the house. I want someone that is trusted and licensed. Not someone doing this out of their truck.

PS: Thank you for all the advice. Keep it coming.

You will need to locate those valves. And either cut out or rebuild depending on the valve type, Most can be rebuilt.
The leak needs dug up and repaired not a big deal.

Once you know where all the gate valves are at I would never hire anyone again ...it's to easy to fix yourself and save you hundreds of dollars a year...if you have a leak find it yourself by digging pilot holes then seeing from which direction the water leaks into the hole....I was once charged 850$ for 8 hours of digging and 15 mins to fix the pipe a root that had dislodged a connection.. never again...a torn diaphragm or debris in a gate valve will cause no pressure in a single section and leaking at each sprinkler head in that section and is easily fixed by buying a new valve for 15$ and switching just the diaphragms without having to cut pipes and reconnect pipes and keeping the old gate valve housing which is rarely the issue...
