We are staying In a little cottage and able to fish port Isabel channel from our deck. Got live shrimp and perch. Only managed 1 small mangrove snapper and few perch. Crabs are eating everything quick. Any tips on what to do to have more success? We don’t have much of any lights on the water for night time. Waters about 5-7 feet deep with a sand bar out in front of this place. Can’t get a full cast past the sand bar to deeper water. Tried on bottom and with a bobber. Perch take the shrimp on a barber quick and crabs take them on the bottom quick.
