I took my father in law fishing last week. He is a retired furniture maker and builds my thumpers but is not a fisherman. This was the most epic trip I have ever had, we fished for less than an hour and a half and probably had a limit in the first 30 min, fishing is on fire and I have had over 100 fish under my boat thanks to the thumper! https://youtu.be/QrigcmU1OSU

I fish shad. I am sure they are biting artificials but I am not very good with them.
