I’ve been bass fishing for over 40 years. Never in my life have I had this happen. ....AND IT HAPPENED TWICE TODAY!!!
I was catching 2-1/2 to 3 pounders on almost every other cast this afternoon. I mean I had the bait perfected, presentation, pattern, you name it. Spectacular day for the lake I was fishing. Weird thing? I always let the fish go gently when I’m fun fishing. I usually play them out, reach over the port side, lip them, release the hook quickly, then I ease them back into the water. I had two different fish that latched onto my thumb and didn’t want to swim away. Every single time I have let them back into the water....they haul it!!! But two of them today just didn’t want to leave. One stayed in my thumb for minutes. Kinda cool. The second time I just laughed and pulled my thumb outta its mouth.
Anyone else ever have this happen? Maybe my thumb tasted good after catching 35-40 fish. Lol.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Not that exactly, but I love it when they bite you while you're taking the hook out.

I’d like to know what scents you applied to your lures, because, clearly the remnants of it was still on your fingers.😂

Had you been eating chicken nuggets? There’s that lake close to where you live where the big girls like c-rigged nuggets.

Sounds like a great day! Don't wear out that spot too much though. Leave a few fish for me.

Small fish, no problem. A 6 lber will take some skin as a souvenir. I've had it happen a couple of times. It's a just action, after all, I just ripped her lip and totally ruined her day with a trip to the "dry land" and a ride around in a dark stuffy box for 6 hours.

Sounds like this should be a "Now Drinking" Thread in the OT Section

Well that's good. It was pretty good last weekend on Sunday.
I definitely didn't train those fish to bite you. I promise.
