 Flarping Update - Getting Smaller

OK, Flarping is using a hair rig on a fly rod. The carp are getting really spooky as the water gets skinny. I think they "hear" sudden movements, and even bumping into my leader spooks them. So I'm going smaller...size 14 Allen N203s. In the pic, the fish had an eye that looked like a red marble. A large safety pin makes a great threader, and some slitted craft foam makes decent stops. Nice post. Got to give you a lot of credit catching a carp on the fly! Super job.

The fly carpers have disowned me...I throw a mini-hair rig...no weight...yarn indicator...with a piece or two of boiled deer corn. I use size 14 hooks...pretty small...I call them Pubic Hair Rigs... ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/4pINGQ1.jpg)
