Any info on Hubbard Creek? What kind of lake is it? I hear good things about it.

Nice big lake. Launch from the ramp just off HWY 180 bridge (south side of lake). Lake is in great shape right now and easy to run.

More little fish than I have ever seen there...

Going out there tomorrow but mostly for sand bass.
Any swimming spots to beach the boat?

Water clarity good?

Because the bigger fish are floating dead and on the bank around the boat ramp.

Lots of sand bass they school all day. No public places to beach a boat except for the park on the west end of the dam. There is a swimming beach there. It will be packed though.

Fished it Monday. It was hot and no wind. Overall it was pretty tough. Two of us caught maybe 20 and nothing over 3 pounds. Few on topwater. Few on big crankbait. Mostly we punched one oz weights in the deep hydrilla. Lived on the lake for 20 years and have never seen it that clear with that much grass. It’s in good shape but there are tons of small fish.

With all the hydrilla water is clear. There are not any “No Tresspassing” signs on the many islands as you go north from the 180 ramp towards the dam.

The islands are no trespassing and the game warden can site you for being on them.
Plus there isn’t a beach any where on them. They are pretty much totally surrounded with hydrilla and lily pads

A friend said he saw some 5-6 lb bass floating at the ramp, warden needs to stop by and make sure dead fish are kept and taken home after the tournaments
