I need a new mattress for lower back pain. I am 68 and carry a lot of extra weight. If you have one that has worked well for you please let me know. Memory foam? other? I'm hurtin for certain.

If you sleep in the fetal position try putting a pillow between your knees .

Get and inverter, the thing where you hang upside down.

I got one of the mattress in the box from Costco , California King and it cost around 1k a few years ago, comes with some crazy long return policy, it has worked very well for me and the mattress has held up well as well.

As per your initial post, the first thing is to drop some weight, lots if needed, no excuses.

You've got friends here who will support you!

Next, possibly consider getting a mattress, or a top that is filled with magnets.

All the foregoing. I used to wake up every morning with back pain. We got a sleep number maybe 15 years ago and it has made a difference. Just because I can make it firmer or softer as needed, and find the right setting to mitigate the pain. Good luck. Few things worse than that.

We bought a sleep number and an inversion table a few years ago. Those two things completely changed my life. I highly recommend both to mitigate your back pain. And losing some of the weight as well. Good luck

Go easy on the inversion table. I was only doing 4 minutes of teetering 3x a week and it was very noticible. We remodeled the house so I put it in the garage and rarely use it anymore. I’m healed...for now

We are thinking about getting one as soon as our home remodel is finished.

We went in and tested them in the Longview store one day when we were up there.
